What’s wrong with the UK Green party?
Apart from hiding behind an environmental front to push a Stalinist anti-business, anti-American and anti-EU agenda you mean? Here’s a brilliant letter which sums up what’s wrong with even their environmental policy (but the link will probably have died if you’re reading this after about the 6th February – sorry but you’ve missed a gem).

Thank you. It started life as the Green Party's....
I think there must be some kind of half-way house between the "dark ages", as you see them, and the slow death of our planet. I think people will have to make more and more sacrifices as the situation grows ever more desperate. Do you really value your God-given right to cheap flights that much?
That was me, BTW. Too much of a luddite to work this infernal machine...
anonymous / vanky - I agree that it would be good to reduce air travel (and indeed all travel) but if we run short of electricity it has the potential to condemn millions to an earlier grave.
It's the political bits of the Green Party's agenda which really bothers me. .....
